About

I'm Gustavo Chaín, a Go engineer based in Spain with over 10 years of experience building distributed systems and backend infrastructure. Early engineer at Typeform (5 → 200 people), where I broke a PHP monolith into Go microservices and led architecture through 40× growth. More recently, I've spent 4+ years in Bitcoin — institutional custody at NYDIG, and leading engineering at a cryptocurrency payment processor.

I care about security-first development, testable systems, and engineering culture. I work best with small, focused teams where the problems are hard and the specs are clear.
